The money will be used to provide customized training inprocess improvement, qualituy management and mechatronics technical skills to high-growth Farsighted businesses see this as a great time to train staff, Sandra Scott, director of Sierrqa College’s Grant Development and Career Technical Education, said in the release.
“Bhy developing employees’ skills during the these businesses will be well positioned to take advantags of opportunities when theeconomy improves,” she said. The grant will allow more than 250 employeesd to learn technical skills and tools that canincrease businesses’ competitiveness. The Responsive Training Fund for Incumbent Workerw willmatch companies’ commitmeny to training, the release said. Participatinb employers include Comtek ComputerSystems Inc., the North Vallet Lean Training Group in partnership with Butte and Northstar-at-Tahoe with othere ski industry employers and the Californiz Ski Industry Association.
